The Ochlocknee River Basin flows for a distance of nearly 150 miles from Worth County in Georgia to the Gulf of Mexico near Panacea, Florida.

Ochlocknee River State Park, Fl

Popular with motor boats, never less, there are still interesting areas to explore.  Early mornings, weekdays, and the cooler months are best for those who seek more solitude. From the park, a paddler has many options for day trips through the area, including those that are avoided by most motor boats. As much of the area is in the St. Marks National Wildlife Refugee, birds and wildlife are abundant.
