Alligator PointAbout an hour from Tallahassee is Alligator Point just west of Ochlockonee Bay. The west end of the peninsula is a bird sanctuary. It's about a mile across from the launch site on US 98 to the west point. During low tide, sand bars and sand dollars are in abundance.
